Your wedding ceremony
Celebrating love, not admin
With a long list of things to do, planning your wedding ceremony might feel like a simple formality – but there is so much more to the perfect ceremony than standing quietly in front of an official, repeating the statutory wording and signing the legal paperwork.
Your wedding ceremony shouldn’t be about rules and judgement, or scripts with limited options. It shouldn’t be stuffy, or uncomfortable, or the bit everyone wants to get through before they can relax and enjoy the reception.
That, my friends, is wedding admin. And it’s kind of dull and a bit boring.
Your wedding, your way
Your wedding ceremony should be a unique celebration. It should be the ultimate opportunity to shout about your love and commitment, friendship and family, and the story of two people who are in it for forever.
It shouldn’t be sombre or solemn, or constrained by tradition or institution. It should be fun, flexible, creative and expressive. It should be whatever you want it to be.
I write ceremonies which truly reflect your relationship in all its authenticity. I create ceremonies which are as individual as you are. And since I deliver them from the heart, there’s going to be a whole lot of smiling going on…
Before you book, let’s chat! We can talk over email, on the phone, by Skype, Zoom or Messenger – it’s completely up to you. Just head over to my contact page to get in touch.
If you decide to go ahead, then happy days! I’ll send you an online booking form, a request for a booking fee to secure your date, and a contract so we have an agreement in writing. This is the point I start working with you – and from which your date is reserved for you, and you alone.
If possible, we’ll arrange a face-to-face meeting but if not, then we’ll work via the power of video chat. I’ll get to know you better as a couple, find out more about your ceremony plans and ideas, plus it’s the chance for you to pick my brains and ask any questions. Following this I send you an online questionnaire, which is a bit of fun and best attempted with a glass of wine…
Yey, then I can start writing! I love this bit – the opportunity to translate into words your unique story, complete with readings, vows, rituals – everything we have previously discussed and sometimes a few extra surprises. I aim to have this ready for you at least one month before your big day – and I’ll keep working on it until you think it’s perfect.
I’ll be there early to make sure your ceremony runs smoothly. I’ll coordinate with any other suppliers, chat to your bridal party and be there to give you any extra support or reassurance you might need (you won’t, by the way!). Then of course, it will be my absolute pleasure to deliver your one-of-a-kind ceremony.
