Hello there - I'm Lisa!

I’m so delighted you are considering Celebrant in Cornwall for your wedding, renewal of vows or civil partnership! Will we be a fab fit? Have a read and see what you think.

After years in marketing, PR and event management, I took on a role as a Ceremony Officer with the Registration Service. 100+ ceremonies later, I realised that while being part of a couple’s special day was totally amazing, the lack of personality in a legal ceremony really wasn’t! So I trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants in 2018 and set up Celebrant in Cornwall to provide what couples really deserve - ceremonies from the heart.

And that little business has gone from strength to strength! So much so, that there are now three of us delivering ceremonies all over Cornwall and beyond. The success of the business is simple – we LOVE what we do and we think that shines through in every single ceremony. Couples book us because they want a smiley, thoughtful, confident celebrant, who makes them feel very relaxed, and who will deliver a beautifully personalised, professional and creative ceremony.

Each of us feels incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to do what we do, and we are totally invested in making our couples’ day just as they want it to be. That said, we tend to avoid bookings for fussy, formal, showy weddings with couples who have quite set ideas about their ceremonies – sorry, but that’s not our style! We particularly love ceremonies held at holiday rentals and private homes, in woodlands and on beaches, and the occasional five star venue is always welcomed!

Personally, I adore living and working in Cornwall – it is a huge inspiration to me and a major influence on my sunny outlook on life. So it’s not a surprise that couples often comment on my friendly and supportive nature, positive energy and that I have a knack of making everyone I come into contact with feel relaxed, welcome and incredibly special.

Alongside Celebrant in Cornwall, I run a small marketing business, and I have recently been working as a student mentor and trainer for the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, supporting trainee celebrants with their professional learning.

When not working, nothing makes me happier than a warm summer’s day and the chance to dabble in the veggie patch or indulge in a long walk across a beach at low tide. Add to that a glass of vino in the sunshine – and life is pretty perfect!

Might we be suited? Do get in touch if you think so – we’d love to hear from you and chat about being part of your special day...

Introducing my associate celebrants!

Celebrant in Cornwall associate Caroline.jpg

As the demand for beautifully bespoke ceremonies continues to grow, I am so pleased to have Caroline on my team!

Caroline has many years of experience in the wedding industry and is a true asset to any ceremony. She says, "I love working with Celebrant in Cornwall - being involved in a couple's special day is such a privilege. Lisa puts her heart into every ceremony she writes and I'm always delighted when I have the opportunity to deliver the ceremony on her behalf!"

Caroline joined us in 2020, and due to her busy schedule she now only works for us on very special occasions; you can find out more about her on this blog.

You might recognise this lovely face - and that's because we officiated at her wedding - and that's how we met Sam!

Sam is a Yorkshire lass now loving life in Cornwall; super-sporty, you might also meet her in the eco shop she runs in Porthleven. She is just perfect for Celebrant in Cornwall; always happy, smiley and full of enthusiasm, she also has a calm nature and a cheeky fun side to her!

Sam joined us in 2021 and delivers mainly weekend ceremonies, especially those in the west of the county and you can find out more about her on this blog
