Hello there - I'm Lisa!
I'm so pleased you've found us.

If you're looking for a wedding celebrant in Cornwall who'll take the time to really get to know you - the stories, the laughter, the quirks and the little moments that make your relationship yours - you're in exactly the right place.

Before becoming a celebrant, I spent more than 25 years working in senior marketing, PR and event management roles. Looking back, I can see how much those years shaped the way I work today: understanding people, telling stories and creating moments that feel meaningful.

My journey into ceremonies began when I became a Ceremony Officer and Deputy Registrar with the Registration Service, where I had the privilege of conducting more than 100 legal ceremonies. While I loved being part of such important moments, I found myself wanting to create ceremonies that gave couples the freedom to tell their story in a way that felt personal, relaxed and completely true to them.

So, in 2018, I trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and founded Celebrant in Cornwall.

My vision was simple: to create ceremonies that don't just mark a moment, but genuinely reflect the people at the centre of it. The laughter, the emotion, the little details and the memories that make every relationship unique.

As demand grew, I carefully built a small team of trusted celebrants who share the same approach, values and passion for creating ceremonies that feel personal, warm and full of meaning. Mary, Emily and Caroline don't simply step in on the day. They take the same care in getting to know you, writing your ceremony and supporting you throughout the process, with my full support behind them.

Our couples often tell us they chose us because they felt listened to, understood and completely at ease. They wanted someone who would take the time to uncover their story, guide them through the process and create a ceremony that felt natural rather than predictable.

That's exactly what I love doing.

We're probably not the right fit if you're looking for a ceremony that follows a strict format or where every detail has already been decided for you. But if you want a ceremony that feels personal, relaxed and full of genuine emotion, I think we'll get along brilliantly.

Living and working in Cornwall is something I never take for granted. From windswept clifftops and beautiful beaches to woodlands, private homes and elegant country houses, I still feel incredibly lucky every time I arrive at a ceremony.

When I'm not writing ceremonies or chatting to excited couples, you'll usually find me tending my veggie patch, walking the Cornish coast or enjoying a quiet moment in the garden with a glass of something chilled.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me a little.

And if you think we might be the right fit, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us about your plans, your ideas and your story, and let's chat about creating a ceremony that's every bit as unique as you are.

Caroline - the ultimate wingwoman! Caroline joined us back in 2020, and is a true wedding pro - due to her busy schedule she now only takes on a small number of ceremonies with us; you can find out more about her on this blog.

She says, "I love working with Celebrant in Cornwall - being involved in a couple's special day is such a privilege. Lisa puts her heart into every ceremony she writes and I'm always delighted when I have the opportunity to deliver the ceremony on her behalf!"

Mary is a true Cornish girl with a passion for creating beautiful ceremonies - she got married herself in 2025, and of course, she had a celebrant-led ceremony!

Mary is one of those people who we knew would be instantly suited to becoming a celebrant - a friendly and thoughtful soul, she radiates positive energy, kindness and authenticity, and she displays the calm and quiet confidence that really appeals to us, and to our clients. You can find out more about her on this blog or on this podcast episode.

Emily is our latest addition to the Celebrant in Cornwall team - and what a find she is! A former professional wedding photographer, Emily's exceptional people skills, passion for storytelling and love for public speaking make her quite the talent.

But not only that, Emily's vast experience in the wedding industry means she fully understands the flow and emotion of the day, as well as all the little nuances that only come with years of experience. You can find out more about her on this blog.

And finally we have Rick..

Rick is our sound tech and engineer, so if you decide you'd like to use our mics and PA set up, he'll be there on the day, sorting out equipment, getting the sound levels right and helping with your music as well. And when he's not assisting us with that, he's producing our podcasts! You can check him out here.
