After 25 years working at a senior level in marketing, PR and event management, I followed my heart to Cornwall and into the world of ceremonies. I began as a Ceremony Officer and Deputy Registrar with the Registration Service, where I had the privilege of officiating over 100 ceremonies. While being part of such meaningful moments was truly magical, I longed to offer something more personal and heartfelt than traditional legal ceremonies allowed.
So, in 2018, I trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and founded Celebrant in Cornwall with a simple aim: to create celebrant-led ceremonies in Cornwall that feel authentic, meaningful and completely unique to each couple.
What started as a solo venture has now grown into a small, passionate team of four, delivering heartfelt wedding ceremonies in Cornwall and beyond. The secret to our success? We genuinely love what we do - and it shows. Our couples choose us because they’re looking for a wedding celebrant in Cornwall who is warm, thoughtful and confident; someone who can create a relaxed atmosphere while delivering a beautifully personal, creative and professional ceremony.
We feel incredibly lucky to do this work and are fully invested in making every ceremony feel just right. That said, we’re probably not the best fit for very formal or highly structured weddings with fixed expectations -we like things to feel natural, relaxed and true to you. We especially love outdoor weddings in Cornwall, from beaches and woodlands to private homes and holiday retreats… though we do enjoy the occasional elegant five-star venue too!
Personally, I absolutely adore living and working in Cornwall - it inspires me daily and plays a huge part in my positive outlook on life. It’s no surprise that many of our couples are planning destination weddings in Cornwall or dreaming of a romantic beach wedding in Cornwall, and I feel so lucky to play a part in bringing those visions to life. Couples often describe me as friendly, supportive and full of positive energy, with a knack for helping everyone feel relaxed, welcome and truly special.
When I’m not creating ceremonies, you’ll usually find me enjoying a warm summer’s day in the garden, tending to my veggie patch, or taking a long walk along the Cornish coast - ideally followed by a glass of something chilled in the sunshine. Bliss!
