We are Finalists in National Wedding Awards!

Updated: Jan 30

The news is out that Celebrant in Cornwall has been named a Finalist in the Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards 2024!

We are so excited to hear this, as it's not a competition we enter, or an awards event in which everyone has to vote for you, it's just a lovely surprise we hear about in January if we are lucky enough to be selected! And we are pretty stoked that it is the second year we have reached this stage - last year we were the only celebrants in Cornwall to reach the finals - and only one of seven celebrants nationally!

But what is really great, is to be flying the flag for independent celebrants, especially at a time when local authority registrars have confusingly decided to call themselves celebrants and also are claiming to offer a very similar service... As independent celebrants, only we can get to know our couples inside out and build a relationship with them over months, sometimes years! And then we take what is often seen as the 'boring' part of the day - and make it the best part. Entertaining, fun, romantic, reflective, honest, tear-jerking and completely brimming with personality - every celebration is completely bespoke, and that's exactly how it should be! We love what we do, and we think that shines through in every single ceremony.

Guides for Brides is a popular wedding planning platform that offers couples online advice and recommendations for the best wedding suppliers and venues across the UK. The Customer Service Awards are a national recognition based on the quality and quantity of the reviews left on guidesforbrides.co.uk and are open to every business represented on the platform over the past year.

Nikita Thorne, Head of Strategy at Guides for Brides said: “For nearly 30 years, Guides for Brides has been at the forefront of educating businesses on meeting the needs of modern couples and the importance of exceeding all expectations in customer care. As an industry expert and a newlywed myself, I know how crucial these awards are to ensure businesses are recognised, and couples know who are the best people to contact for their wedding. Every business that has been recognised, whether a shortlisted business or finalist, should be extremely proud!”

A panel of expert judges from the industry will now independently review the finalists and select the winners. But we feel like winners already - so thank you once again to every couple that takes the time to leave us a review, we are truly grateful.
