With the owner’s permission, a holiday home can be a wonderfully relaxed and personal place to celebrate - giving you more flexibility, the chance to keep costs down, and the freedom to have your ceremony somewhere completely unique to you.
And this isn’t just an idea we love in theory. We’ve been creating weddings and vow renewals at holiday homes across Cornwall for years, from beautiful coastal houses overlooking the sea to intimate celebrations in gardens with just a handful of favourite people.
Why do couples choose a
holiday home ceremony?
For some, it’s about keeping everything wonderfully simple and relaxed. For others, it’s the flexibility - choosing the time, the setting and the kind of celebration that feels right for them, rather than fitting into the usual wedding-day format.
It can help keep costs down too. If you’re already booking a beautiful house for a few nights, you may decide you’d rather celebrate there than pay for a separate traditional wedding venue as well.
And then there’s the freedom to choose somewhere completely unique. Cornwall has some extraordinary holiday homes - overlooking the sea, moments from the beach, tucked away in the countryside or with gorgeous gardens of their own.
Best of all, your ceremony becomes part of the holiday itself. No rushing from one venue to another and no need for the day to follow a conventional timetable. Just your favourite people, somewhere wonderful, celebrating in your own way.

Guidance with vows, readings, music, rituals and ideas for involving family and friends.

Unlimited support by phone, email or online meetings whenever you need us.

Help thinking through how your chosen holiday home could work for your ceremony — including the setting, practicalities and a Plan B for the Cornish weather!

A site visit if needed, particularly if we're creating something a little unusual.

All ceremony preparation, including printing vows and certificates if required.
Wedding & vow renewal
ceremony fees for 2027 & 2028
Our fully personalised wedding and vow renewal ceremonies for 2027 and 2028 start at £755 with Mary or Emily, or £845 with Lisa, when paid in full at the time of booking.
If you prefer to pay in two stages, the fees are £805 with Mary or Emily and £895 with Lisa. A 50% booking fee secures your date, with the remaining balance payable when your first draft ceremony is ready.
Whichever celebrant you choose, you'll receive the full Celebrant in Cornwall experience: a ceremony created completely around the two of you, with all the help, ideas and support you need along the way.
What about the legal side?
If you're having a wedding ceremony with us, you'll usually complete the legal marriage requirements separately. A vow renewal has no legal requirements at all - it's simply a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your relationship in your own way.
