Celebrant in Cornwall: Five-Time Hitched Wedding Awards Winner

We are over the moon to share some lovely news just in: Celebrant in Cornwall has been selected as a 2026 WINNER in the prestigious Hitched Wedding Awards! Woo hoo! And while we could give you all the official PR spiel about what this means, what we're actually doing is jumping around the office like lunatics and shouting, “FIVE YEARS IN A ROW, BABY!!”

Yep, we are allowing ourselves a minute to be super proud of this achievement, as well as incredibly grateful and, if we’re honest, rather surprised. This accolade is based purely on the quality and quantity of reviews that our clients decide to post online – something which they really don’t HAVE to do, especially when all of the suppliers involved in a wedding are clamouring for an online review too! This year, we noticed a definite decrease in the number of online reviews. Many couples still sent us their kind words to share on our website but didn't necessarily wish to post that feedback elsewhere. So, when couples DO take the time to share their experiences online, we appreciate it even more. Your kind words and support mean A LOT to us and, of course, are incredibly helpful to others considering our services.

The Quirky World of Awards

But awards are funny old things. Shout about winning an award, and people think you are a bit full of yourself. Keep quiet about it, and people say, “Why didn’t you tell us about that?” And how meaningful is the award, anyway? In an era when we see how accolades can be bought (with suppliers paying to enter, attend the awards ceremony, and even purchase the award itself) or self-nominated (is that not a bit weird? Putting yourself forward for an award?) or decided via a voting system (asking everyone to vote for you really gives us the ick…), it’s no wonder awards have a bit of a bad rep.

Staying True to Our Values

We believe that, like our ceremonies, true recognition should come from the heart. So we decided long ago that we will never resort to paying for ‘professional’ accreditations or asking our friends and couples to vote for us in competitions. Instead, we'll quietly stay in our lane: crafting beautiful ceremonies and cherished memories for couples in Cornwall and beyond.
