As a wedding celebrant in Cornwall, there are certain venues that just feel like a natural fit. Nancarrow Farm is one of them. I've been lucky enough to perform ceremonies at some wonderful venues, but every time I arrive at Nancarrow I'm reminded why I enjoy working there so much. It's not just the beautiful setting. It's the atmosphere, the people and the sense of connection that seems to run through every wedding day.

A Venue That Attracts Thoughtful, Kind-Hearted Couples
One thing I've noticed over the years is the type of couples who choose Nancarrow. Time and again, I find myself working with people who are thoughtful, caring and genuinely invested in creating a meaningful experience for their family and friends.
They're not simply looking for a beautiful backdrop for their photographs. They want a wedding that feels personal, relaxed and full of heart. They care about bringing people together and creating moments that everyone will remember.
As a celebrant, those are exactly the kinds of ceremonies I love creating. One of my favourite examples of this came from a lovely couple, Nick and Nina, who married at Nancarrow Farm, April 2022.
“Lisa has such a great vibe and was genuinely interested in our story, we got along so well right from the start. She truly personalised our ceremony.. to the point that many of our guests thought we had all been friends for years! Lisa did a fantastic job from start to finish, and we couldn't recommend her more!”
The Barn Environment Just Works
There's something about the barn at Nancarrow that creates the perfect atmosphere for a wedding ceremony. I've seen it filled with riotous laughter one moment and the sort of silence where you could hear a pin drop the next, as a couple's story unfolds. That's the magic of a great ceremony space.
It's warm, welcoming and relaxed without ever losing its sense of occasion. Guests settle in quickly and feel comfortable, which means they're far more likely to engage with what's happening in front of them.
Some of the most joyful ceremonies I've ever led have taken place there.
Whether it's the knowing smiles during a story, guests joining in with a collective vow, or those moments when everyone is hanging on every word, there always seems to be a wonderful energy in the space.
I love creating ceremonies that people experience rather than simply watch, and Nancarrow seems perfectly suited to that approach.
Why I Love Conducting Ceremonies at Nancarrow Farm
One of the reasons I always look forward to returning is the way couples and guests embrace the ceremony itself. The atmosphere encourages people to relax and be themselves. Nothing feels stiff or overly formal. Instead, there's a genuine sense that everyone is present and invested in the moment.
The couples I work with here are often keen to make the ceremony a real highlight of the day rather than simply something that happens before the celebrations begin. They're happy to laugh, share stories and create an experience that feels completely authentic to them. The result is that guests become genuinely involved too.
Afterwards, it's not unusual to hear people say how much they enjoyed the ceremony and how different it felt from weddings they've attended before. Rather than sitting quietly and waiting for the reception, they felt part of something meaningful.
For me, that's one of the greatest compliments I can receive.
A great wedding ceremony isn't just about the couple standing at the front. It's about creating a shared experience that brings everyone together and sets the tone for the rest of the day.
Perhaps that's why some of the loveliest feedback I've received has come from weddings at Nancarrow.
"All our guests were blown away by how much they enjoyed listening to what she had to say, with some genuinely commenting that it was the BEST ceremony they had ever been to."
Sarah & Adam, April 2026
"Lisa totally captivated the room, balanced poignant and funny effortlessly, and we had so many comments afterwards about how unique and enjoyable the ceremony was."
Claudia & Will, September 2025
"We knew we wanted a celebrant-led wedding from the start; a ceremony that was personalised, a special moment and something that was completely 'us'. Lisa got to know the true us and wrote the most perfect script that made us laugh and cry in all the best ways."
Mary & Matt, May 2025
"Our ceremony was the most beautiful, heartfelt and emotional ceremony we could have ever hoped for. All our guests commented on how beautiful it was and how lovely it was to hear more about us as a couple and as individuals."
Charlotte & Paul, July 2024
"A number of our guests came and asked us whether Lisa was a family friend and were surprised when we explained that she wasn't. Our guests enjoyed our ceremony just as much as we did."
Oli & Yooni, July 2024
"I cannot tell you just how many people have said it was the best wedding they have been to, with how everything was so personalised, special but also relaxed and genuinely enjoyable."
Daisy & Jedd, July 2023
Reading messages like these afterwards is always a reminder of why I love what I do.
The Team Behind the Magic
Of course, a venue is only as good as the people behind it. There's a calm confidence about the team at Nancarrow. They're incredibly professional, but also warm and approachable, which helps create the relaxed but well-managed atmosphere that couples love so much and allows everyone involved to focus on enjoying the day.
As a supplier, that's invaluable. As a couple planning your wedding, it's even more important.
And while it's not my area of expertise, I've yet to meet a guest who doesn't rave about the food afterwards.
Planning a Wedding at Nancarrow Farm?
There are many beautiful wedding venues in Cornwall, but Nancarrow offers something that goes beyond the setting itself. It's the warmth, the atmosphere, the people and the way the space naturally encourages connection. For the kind of ceremonies I love creating- personal, engaging, relaxed and full of heart - it's hard to imagine a better fit.
For couples planning a celebrant-led wedding ceremony at Nancarrow Farm, the venue offers the perfect balance of relaxed countryside charm and a meaningful ceremony space. It's one of those rare venues where the setting genuinely enhances the experience of the ceremony itself, helping create moments that feel both intimate and unforgettable.
If you're planning your wedding ceremony at Nancarrow Farm and are looking for a celebrant who will help create a ceremony that feels genuinely like you, I'd love to hear about your plans.
And if your wedding day happens to bring me back to one of my favourite venues in Cornwall, that would be a lovely bonus too.
